August 21, 7-9pm World Chant/Kirtan with Gina Salā & Friends :
Let your heart bloom and body and mind be renewed in a special evening of mantra and chant with Global Vocalist Gina Salā. Come as you are, participate as you like, as life-long chanter Gina Salā shares meditative mantra, grooving kirtan, and heart opening stories, song and chant. Gina is joined by wonderful musicians including Amir O’Loughlin,  Ron Radar Stelting and others to help co-create the vibrations that leave us feeling connected, joyful and at peace.

August 22, 6-9pm Nāda Yoga Workshop: Bliss, Illumination and Integration through your Voice:
Come experience a deep, illuminating and fun journey of nada yoga (sound yoga) and sound tantra. No experience needed, as long-term global vocalist and teacher Gina Salā guides us in raga (Indian singing) practices, Sanskrit mantra refinement, an introduction to sound tantra, and bhakti world chant. Our hearts bloom open and our minds rest as we unite in the sacred sounds. Gina will also offer techniques to empower and care for the voice. With warmth, humor and devotion, Gina draws from over four decades of sanskrit chanting, her deep studies Sanskrit mantra, Indian dhrupad, cross-cultural sound for wellness, and voice culture, as well as her many years offering tours in India, workshops, retreats and her yearlong Awakening Voice sound schools. Please NOTE: workshop location - Unit 100, 402 West Pender, Vancouver, BC, V6B 1T6. Gina Salā~ With a repertoire spanning 20 languages and performance credits that include Cirque du Soleil, the United Nations, festivals and huts, Gina Salā invites us into music and chant that open the heart and relax the mind. She began chanting in her early childhood ashram days. With warmth, humor and devotion, Gina Salá weaves together her passions for Indian classical music, refined Sanskrit, relaxing grooves, medicine songs and story in her offerings. She leads retreats and classes internationally and online, as well as Monday mantra and her signature Awakening Voice Power of Love Sound School. Her passion is helping us sing ourselves awake to the Magnificence within.

Amir O’Loughlin has been one of Vancouver’s foremost ambassadors of Interspiritual music for over 40 years.  He has led hundreds of spiritual music events, is a multi-instrumentalist, and shares an interfaith approach to Kirtan chanting and song. In his professional life, Amir is a psychotherapist.
